Passover, Easter: Season of hope

By Staff | Apr 8, 2015

The signs of spring have been subtle again this year.

Winter was mild, the rainy season has made no early entrance and “season” has been a good one with tourism numbers up and unemployment stats down as housing prices continuing to improve along with new home construction.

Spring is also a time of hope, a time of promise for many of us as it marks two holidays of great import to Judeo-Christian theology.

Passover, the most significant of Jewish holidays. began Friday as those of the faith celebrated Passover’s promise of freedom and the mark of slavery’s end.

Easter, the most holy of Christian holidays, was Sunday. The faithful worldwide gathered and celebrated its message of rebirth, and of a promise that resonates as clearly today as it did more than 2,000 years ago.

May you and yours have a joyous holiday.
