Suspect wanted in Auto Zone armed robbery
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for help identifying a man who held a store clerk at gunpoint on April 17.
According to detectives, a black man entered the Auto Zone, at 2903 Lee Blvd., just after 8:30 p.m. The man pointed a gun at the employee, ordering them to open the safe and cash drawer.
After securing an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled on foot, possibly toward the nearby Wal Mart, dropping some money.
No detailed description of the suspect is available.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 780-TIPS (8477).
All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
