LCSO: More than $500,000 worth of marijuana seized
On April 30, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office participated in a statewide marijuana grow house eradication operation. The members located two marijuana grow houses during the operation.
The first location was at 3311 S.W. Fourth St. A search warrant was prepared and executed at the residence, which was occupied by Marcos Antonio Perez-Lamba, 50.
There were approximately 20 plants within two rooms, which had been converted, to grow marijuana. Detectives removed the plants from two separate rooms.
Perez-Lamba was charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of a structure knowing to traffic drugs.
The estimated street value of the marijuana for the location is $115,500.
A second house was discovered by detectives at 3318 W. 49th St. A search warrant was prepared and executed at the residence, which was occupied by Eduardo Cicero Menendez, 24, and Isaac Montes DeOca , 44.
Detectives removed 89 plants from three separate rooms converted into grow rooms.
Menendez and DeOca were charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of a structure knowing to traffic drugs.
The estimated street value of the marijuana for the location is $450,500.
In total, a street value of $566,000 worth of marijuana was removed from the streets of Lee County.
