Adult
– Summer Crops in Southwest Florida
2 p.m. June 27
Join local gardening expert Karen as she shares ideas and advice for crops that thrive in Southwest Florida’s summer climate. Registration required.
Child/teen
– Greek Myth Heroes: a Shadow Puppet Show
11 a.m. June 23
Katie Adams performs Pandora’s Box, Perseus and Pegasus, Icarus, and Baucis and Philemon with shadow puppets, storytelling and audience participation. Tickets available June 16.
– Lee County SWAT Team
3 p.m. June 23
Get to know the Lee County SWAT Team. Check out their gear and hear stories from these real heroes. Registration required.
– Kids Read Down Fines
34 p.m. June 27
Children and teens earn a $2 credit for every 15 minutes they read in the designated area for a total of $8 in one session. Credit may be applied to cards issued to patrons age 18 and under only.
– The Story of Prince Rama; The Hero’s Journey, Mask Dance & Drama from Bali
11 a.m. June 30
Meet masked characters from Bali, the enchanting Indonesian island, and participate in a mask dance-drama based on the adventurous story of prince Rama. Tickets available June 23.
– Villain Art Bash
3 p.m. June 30
Make your own villainous stickers, then create a mask of your favorite villain. You may use heroes rather than villains. Contest for worst art. Registration required.
