At about 5:40 p.m. June 17, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a possible deceased person at the intersection of Banning Street and Acton Avenue.

Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased man. A homicide investigation was opened. The victim is identified as David M. Rice, 29, of North Fort Myers.
