Chamber of Commerce’s Expo set for Sept. 19
Inke Baker
Inke Baker, the president and CEO of the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce, wants to remind both area businesses and the public that the chamber will present this year’s Expo on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Christ United Methodist Church at 1430 Homestead Road N. in Lehigh.
“We have had good turnouts in the past when we have held The Expo and this year shouldn’t be any different, even better,” she said.
The Expo is a both a trade show and a job far, she said. It will be held in the church’s large social room.
Exhibitors from a wide group of businesses and organizations will be at the show to show their latest in products and services.
She said experts talk about home improvement, financial services, health providers, crafts, arts, recreation, garden, education, fitness and much more. Fun raffles and great prizes are waiting,” she said.
In addition, there is something for the whole family including food and drinks.
For the second time now, The Expo includes a Job Fair. So if someone is looking for a job, bring a resume and look sharp, Baker said. Several companies that have openings will be on hand.
Admission is free and there is ample parking adjacent to the church. The Expo opens at 10 a.m. and continues to 1 p.m.
For those businesses and organizations that have not obtained a vendor table, questions or vendor information can be obtained by calling the chamber at 239-369-3322.
“It’s time for our vendors to come through as there is still some time in the planning. We are hoping the Expo, which draws big crowds, will be rewarding not only to the public that attends, but also to the vendors who will have tables showing their wares or information about the services they offer.
Baker noted that the whole family is welcome to attend as there are things for the children, too. Included will be things like face painting and other activities. There will be a 50/50 raffle and door prize raffles.
In addition, Baker said some of the vendors with exhibits will also hold their own raffles. Door prizes will be given out throughout the event.
