U.S. House of Representatives has really low approval rating

By Staff | Aug 26, 2015

To the editor:

Just recently, the U.S. House of Representatives had an approval rating of 8 percent. Their latest fiasco in this past two weeks should now give them a rating on performance of the peoples work of 0 percent.

For the 34th time, Congress failed to resolve any problems involving infrastructure bills.

So for the 34th time they passed a three-month bill. In another phrase congress “kicked the can down the road.” They have failed to provide any solutions to fix the country’s out-dated infrastructure needs, such as bridges, roads, water systems and sewer maintenance or replacement!

One could say the United States Senate made an effort with a bill that provided for a six-year plan but only provides funds for three years.

Any mayor or governor or state legislators can hardly start the larger, badly need projects, when they will not be completed for the lack of future funding. Bridges for repairs or replacement need costly engineer involvement as well as construction workers.

If congress cannot solve the problems of the people and work to meet their needs, what on earth are we electing them for or just why are we paying the representatives.

It is simply unacceptable, that legislators have their own agenda or they are owned by lobbyists!

We the people must vote to put our country in good hands in 2016. Time for change is overdue. Congress should pass in a 2-year session 900 bills. In 2013-2014 they passed less than 200 and 55 bills were to repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). It is time to keep score on who votes the interest of the people. Be an informed voter in 2016.
