On the green: American Legion to hold golf tournament
The Lehigh Acres American Legion Post 323, with the American Legion’s Department of Florida, will host a golf tournament on Sept. 26 at the Copperhead Golf Course, with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
There will be a longest drive contest, hole-in-one contest, putting contest and 50/50 drawing.
Cost is $40 per golfer.
Lunch will be served at the post, at 1124 Ashlar Ave.
All proceeds will go to the children and youth program.
Sponsorship opportunities include: silver hole, $100; gold hole, $250; and donation of gifts for raffle prizes.
The cut-off date for sponsorships and gift submissions is Sept. 24.
