Lehigh man, another suspect charged in April homicide

The Fort Myers Police Department recently made two arrests in the April 12 homicide at the Hilton House apartment complex, at 3079 Cleveland Ave.
Kevin Jerome Parker Sr., 41, of Fort Myers, has been charged with second-degree murder and robbery with a firearm in the death of Henry Jenkins Jr.
Kevin Jerome Parker Jr., 20, of Lehigh Acres, has also been charged with robbery with a firearm in connection to the murder.
FMPD detectives had been working diligently since April in order to develop witnesses and evidence that allowed investigators to obtain warrants for their arrests.
The warrants were signed on Oct. 2 and a task force comprised of FMPD and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office located and apprehended Parker Jr. at his residence.

Parker Sr., who had been in custody at the Lee County Jail since June on unrelated drug charges, was served with the warrant.
Both are incarcerated without bond.
At 9:36 a.m. April 12, the FMPD responded to 3079 Cleveland Ave., Apt. 16, in reference to a deceased male.
Officers cordoned off the crime scene and the preliminary investigation determined the death to be a homicide.
