GoPers not fit to lead

By Staff | Nov 18, 2015

To the editor:

Mr. Trump, in the recent debate, did a very credible job of highlighting the incredible lack of fitness for any GoPer to lead this nation – the outcome of such might be termed GoPer-algia, the pain delivered to most of us, the common people, by characteristic GoPer ignorance and indifference, not to mention GoPer lack of imagination.

Rather than increase the minimum wage, Trump wants workers to just “work harder,” so as to compete with foreign labor. OK, now what do you suppose will happen when a local U.S. worker goes into, say, Publix to buy food and takes exception to the register total: “Mr Grocer, you need to lower your prices so as to compete with grocers in Yangchien, China, so that I may compete with the workers there?” Ha, ha! Boot!

Up next: “Mr Trump, I have my landlord on the phone here for you!”

What actually needs to happen (but do not hold breath) is for some of those overflowing piles of capital being hoarded offshore tax-free by our devoted 1 percent to come home to the U.S.A. to build more modern and efficient factories so as to enable U.S. workers to compete with those slaves and next-to-slaves overseas.

Can the U.S.A. even survive – let alone prosper – under such baleful stupidity as the GoP openly promotes? The foolish policies of the Dems are quite, quite bad enough (i.e. the TPP).
