Card winners announced
The Lee County School District recently announced this year’s winners for the 26th annual Holiday Greeting Card event.
Middle school students were invited to submit one to two entries and each card was voted on by personnel from the Lee County Public Education Center.
Among the winners were:
– Alyssa Saia, eighth grade, Varsity Lakes Middle School
– Carolina Amparo, eighth grade, Varsity Lakes Middle School
– Shelly Monika Figuereo, eighth grade, Harns Marsh Middle School
A special recognition will be held at the Dec. 8 school board meeting.
The cards will also be featured in the 4th annual Sounds of the Season television special to air on Comcast Cable Channel 99, CenturyLink Channel 89 and YouTube.
