Holiday Drives (12/2/15)
USPS?Annual Toy Drive
United States Postal Service letter carriers will collect toys on Dec. 5 to brighten the holidays for less fortunate children.
Customers are asked to leave new unwrapped toys by their mailboxes, and the letter carriers will collect the toys as they deliver mail along their routes.
Toys should be left by the mailbox before the carriers’ regular delivery time.
Operation Christmas Tree
Destiny Ministries will donate Christmas trees and decorations to families in need.
It is seeking financial donations to cover the trees and stands, as well as donations of new small twinkle lights and ornaments.
Please avoid breakable ornaments.
More than 30 families have signed up to receive a decorated Christmas tree.
Donations can be dropped off at:
– Destiny Rewards Center, 3677 Central Ave., Unit A, Fort Myers
– L.A. Insurance , 2802 Lee Blvd., Suite 2, Lehigh Acres
– Re/Max Realty, 2326 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral

Wristband Charity Day
Mike Greenwell’s Bat-A-Ball & Family Fun Park in Cape Coral will partner with six charities – two that benefit children in Lehigh Acres – on Dec. 5 from 3 to 9 p.m. for a Wristband Charity Day.
Purchase a $15.50 wristband and receive unlimited go cart rides (except Figure 8), batting cages, midway rides and mini golf.
Bring in a new and unwrapped toy for a discount on the wristband special; one toy per person per discount.
There will be pictures with Santa, a decorated Christmas walk on tree row, crafts and vendors, and more.
Mothers Empowering Other Women and Pay It Forward Lehigh will benefit.
