By Staff | Dec 31, 2015

Lee County Sheriff’s detectives are continuing an investigation of a home invasion and robbery on Dec. 15 at 109 Andros St.

One of the victims of the break-in told investigating officers that four black males broke into his house with guns. While making demands, the victim was thrown to the floor while one of the men fired a shot between the victim’s feet.

Investigators said the suspect then asked for money and drugs before leaving the scene.

Another witness told detectives that the intruders had pointed a gun to one of the occupants of the house. She was told to get down and to not look up as the suspects fled the house.

Another witness, who according to a sheriff’s report, was uncooperative, said the three males put him at gun point and then searched the house. While searching the home, the male fired his weapon between the victim’s legs.

Another witness, who investigators said was uncooperative, said he saw the three males with guns break in, but he ran away from the scene. The Lee County Sheriff’s Robbery Unit responded to the scene and began an investigation which is continuing.
