Lehigh Acres Kiwanis Club hosts speakers
The Lehigh Acres Kiwanis Club holds a breakfast meeting on Wednesdays at 7 a.m. in the Community Room at Hope Hospice, at 1201 Wings Way.
Recent guest speakers included Mark Tracy, of Artful Gardens, and Gary Bell, the newly-appointed chief executive officer for Lehigh Regional Medical Center.
Future speakers include:
– March 2: Katherine Houser, with Lutheran Services
– March 9: Dan Shoemaker, president of Reciprocal Ministries International
– March 30:?Roseann Mason, center manager of Medexpress Urgent Care
The public is invited to attend the meetings as guests.
English named FSW’s chapter president
Amy English has been named the 2016 president of the Florida SouthWestern State College Chapter of the Association of Florida Colleges.
English, as well as newly elected executive board members Christina Seado-Vasquez (president-elect), Sarah Corcoran (secretary) and Pam Macander (treasurer) all work full-time at FSW’s Hendry/Glades Center in Labelle.
The FSW chapter of AFC also elected three new campus/center representatives:
– Jackie Beard on the Hendry/Glades Center
– Matthew Hayes on the Collier Campus in Naples
– Joyce Gelfand on the Charlotte Campus in Punta Gorda
The Association of Florida Colleges is a statewide organization for the employees of the 28 state colleges to develop professionally, advocate on behalf of the college system and network.

The Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will host its Spring Job Fair on March 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hodges University Fort Myers Campus, at 4501 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.
