Authorities: Lehigh Acres pair arrested for child abuse

By Staff | Mar 9, 2016

On March 3, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested two responsible for using a handheld stun gun on four children as a form of discipline and charged them with cruelty toward a child.

According to the investigation, the Department of Children and Families received a report via the Florida Abuse Hotline in reference to child abuse.

It was learned that four children were being punished by means of a stun gun.

The investigation revealed that Joshua Pierre Louis Sr., 28, and Roxanne E. Paduani, 33, both of 3902 W. 10th St., did own a stun gun and were using it as a tool to deter the children from misbehaving.

The stun gun inflicted pain compliance on the children, and it left visible marks on two of the children.

Louis and Paduani were transported to the Lee County Jail and booked.
