Two suspects seen on surveillance tape, both wearing masks and dark clothing to conceal their identities, did severe damage to the front entrance of Lehigh Senior High School by spray painted the front entrance, several vending machines, windows of the school’s weight room and cafeteria, as well as the sides of portables and several trees and trash cans in the courtyard area.

There is a $1,000 reward being offered for the names of the culprits who vandalized the school.

The public is being asked to identify at least two suspects who were seen in the action of vandalizing several areas of the school, which is located on Gunnery Rd.

The incident occurred March 1 and when administrators arrived at the school at around 6 a.m., they discovered what had happened overnight.

The rampage occurred at around 2:38 a.m., according to Lee County Sheriff’s authorities who viewed the surveillance security tape.

They were seen walking around with cans of spray paint.

The damage was so bad that school officials said removing the paint would take at least two days.

Now the school and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office are asking the public through Crime Stoppers to offer any information they may know about the incident so the culprits can be caught.

“We strongly encourage young adults who have viewed postings on social media about the vandalism to do the right thing and contact Crime Stoppers,” said Trish Routte, its coordinator.

They are asking that anyone with information on the identities of the suspects to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).

Routte said that all callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. She said tips may also be made by going online at www.swfrlcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
