Kiwanis Club presents school clubs with checks
The Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Acres recently gifted two high schools each with a $1,000 check at a meeting.
The funds enable Key Club members from Lehigh Senior High School and East Lee County High School to attend the district convention in Orlando this summer.
Airport reports traffic
During February, 989,845 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport, an increase of 9.3 percent compared to February 2015.
The traffic leader was Southwest with 199,339 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers. Rounding out the top five airlines were Delta, American, JetBlue and Spirit.
Southwest Florida International Airport had 8,840 aircraft movements, an increase of 5.6 percent compared to February 2015. Page Field saw 10,484 movements, a 32 percent increase.
In addition, nearly 2.6 million pounds of air freight moved through Southwest Florida International Airport in February 2016, a slight increase compared to February 2015.
