Authorities: Three shootings reported along Meadow Road

A Lehigh Acres man, identified by the Sheriff’s officials as Terrence Braxton, 38, was in critical condition last week following a Tuesday, March 29 shooting that left him hit multiple times at Meadow Rd. hear SR 82.

The found him in front of 171 Meadow Road.

Late Monday, on March 28, shattered glass injured a woman when her car was also hit with bullets near Meadow Rd. and South Todd Ave, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office

Police had little to go on and were not releasing additional information by midweek except to say there were three shootings in the area.

The shooting of Braxton was the third since the shootings began on March 29, when two vehicles were hit with bullets near Daniels Parkway and SR 82, according to a Sheriff’s report.

Then on Tuesday someone fired several shots dotting a garage door several time with bullet holes and hitting a car in the driveway.

Officer Tony Schall with the Sheriff’s public relations office told The Citizen that an intensive investigation is underway, but no more information was available.

Deputies were looking for a black four-door sedan however. Schall said there had not been any arrests.

Residents or motorists in the affected areas on Meadow Rd. are encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office if they have information about the shootings.

Schall said they didn’t know if the shootings were related. Meadow Rd. runs parallel to SR 82.
