Suspect sought in school vandalism
Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help tracking down one or more suspects who took their art skills to an illegal level and damaged property at Lehigh Senior High School.
When custodial crews arrived at the school, at 901 Gunnery Road, about 5 a.m. on April 5, they discovered that between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m., one or more persons trespassed onto school property and spray painted the concrete in the courtyard area.
A review of surveillance video shows that the concrete was free of graffiti prior to midnight, when the lights were turned off.
The cost to remove the spray paint is unknown, as crews were still cleaning the area on April 5.
Anyone with information on the person or persons responsible is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 780-TIPS (8477). All callers remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.
