Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who stole a water pressure tank during broad daylight from a Lehigh Acres home last week.

Just before 10 a.m. on April 26, a Hispanic man pulled up to a home in the 2700 block of Sunshine Boulevard North and made his way to the side of the house, where the water system was hooked up.

The man methodically dismantled the system and carried the tank back to an older model Chevy Astro van, then left with the stolen items in tow.

This was the second time that the victim had his water system stolen.

Due to a December burglary, the homeowner installed security cameras, which now will hopefully lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect.

Anyone with information on the identity of the thief is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
