Register now for summer camps
Registration has started for Lee County Parks and Recreation’s summer camps, which from June 20 through July 29.
If you plan to register at one of the four major recreation centers, like Veterans Park in Lehigh Acres, you need to obtain a facility membership first.
People who register at least two weeks before the first day of their session will receive an early registration discount.
For example, a traditional camp would be $70 instead of $75; outdoor specialty camps will cost $75 this year, except for Boca Grande, which is $100.
Swimming lessons and other aquatics programs are available at the county’s four public pools, including Lehigh.
If you are looking for alternative activities, other offerings are available via the Lee County Library System programs.
County libraries are encouraging children to “Go for the Gold!” this summer. Sign up at: www.leelibrary.net or at a branch beginning June 6 for a chance to win free books, an Ozobot 2.0 and a party on the Lee County Bookmobile.
