The Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Monday at about 9:42 p.m. in reference to a deceased man at Southwest 32nd Street and Wanda Avenue.

Detectives were on the scene and have assumed the investigation. The death is being investigated as a homicide, officials reported.

The victim has been identified as Jonthomas Hobbs, 17.

Detectives said it was an isolated incident and the surrounding community is not in any danger.
