Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who is believed to have broken into at least two Lehigh Acres cars, stealing thousands of dollars in cash, credit cards and expensive personal belongings.

The first incident was reported on April 11 in the 300 block of University Drive.

The victim stated that sometime between 6 p.m. on April 10 and 7 a.m. on April 11, someone broke into his unlocked car and stole a wallet containing cash, credit cards and his Florida driver license.

Just over two weeks later, a second vehicle burglary was reported in the 200 block of East Fifth Street on April 30.

The victim reported that between 10 and 11 p.m., someone entered his unlocked vehicle, which was parked in his driveway, and stole jewelry, a Michael Kors purse, Ray Ban sunglasses, medication and credit cards, totaling $2,100.

In the days following those two break-ins, a man was spotted on surveillance video on separate occasions attempting to use cards stolen from the two burglaries.

Now Crime Stoppers needs the public’s help putting a name with the face.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
