An arrest has been made in the tow truck driver shooting on May 16 in Lehigh Acres.

Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in the parking lot at Old Fashioned Auto Service, at 1209 Homestead Road.

The victim was unloading a vehicle from a tow truck when an armed Hispanic man got out of a Nissan sedan and approached his truck, according to officials.

The suspect fired one round at the victim, who was struck in the pelvis, and then fled the area.

Detectives came up with a suspect, who was identified as Lester Alexis Bermudez-Lozada, 21, of 2711 S.W. 44th St.

He was arrested and charged with one county of aggravated battery person uses a deadly weapon.
