Just asking

To the editor:

Lehigh Acres Citizen, May 18, 2016, “A promise made must be kept,” by Dick Kalfus

I’ve got a question for Mr. Kalfus. The letter states that those who go back on a promise “stand responsible for harming America, hurting the democratic process and shaming the Republican Party.” It also states that those who do not keep their promises are stupid. My simple question is, does this also apply to your favorite candidate for President, Donald Trump?

Let’s face it folks, this carnival barker with his carpetbag full of lies, promises, con jobs, unfounded statements, flip flops, irresponsible accusations, pie-in-the-sky programs that will never be accomplished, insults, brief off- the-cuff promises, yes all of these and more have been a part of Mr. Trump’s “promised platform.” So I ask again Mr. Kalfus, are all of these promises made by Mr. Trump or are they only suggestion made by your candidate of choice when referring to a corner stone of his campaign, that being preventing Muslims from entering our country? Was that a promise or a suggestion?

Common logic dictates that all of the promises outlined above would fall into your definition of a promise, don’t you agree? Therefore making your boy a stupid person who has gravely injured the Republican Party. Yes, that’s right, the same one he is running under. WOW.
