Church collecting donations
Buckingham Presbyterian Church is collecting donations of clothing and school supplies for Tice Elementary School students.
They are in need of new underwear and socks, along with gently used or new jeans and shorts in pre-K to young adult sizes.
Other items needed are facial tissues, large and small plastic zipper bags, and composition notebooks with wide-spaced lines.
A church sewing group, Stitch-n-Stuff, has made 78 quilts for the incoming pre-K children. The quilts are to keep for use at naptime.
Donations must be dropped off between 9 a.m. to noon at the church, at 4241 Buckingham Road, Fort Myers, by July 31.
