Lee County Elections Office warns of confusing mailers
Lee County Supervisor of Elections Sharon Harrington is warning people about confusing mailers with misleading information that are being sent to voters across the state of Florida from the Voter Participation Center, in Washington, D.C.
The Voter Participation Center is using an out of date and inaccurate data source for their mailings.
Its past campaigns also used incorrect information that created a lot of confusion and caused negative feelings for Lee County voters, who mistakenly believed the mailings were from the Elections Office.
If you do receive a mailing from the VPC, you can visit our website: www.lee.vote or call 239-LEE-VOTE (533-8683) for your correct voter registration status.
“You can count on my staff to provide you with the most current and up-to-date voter registration and elections information,” Harrington said. “I want to encourage your confidence in the elections process and the Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office.”
For those who want to contact the Voter Participation Center, contact Jennifer Carrier on behalf of the VCP at 202-420-3034 or toll free at 877-255-6750.
The Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office is dedicated to serving the public.
