Candidates qualify to run for two special districts
About a dozen candidates, including a few incumbents, have met the qualifications for and have signed up to run for two special districts in Lehigh Acres, according to the Lee County Elections Office.
They are the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District and Lehigh Acres Municipal Services Improvement District.
While the deadline was last month to qualify, the candidates will not be on the ballot until the Nov. 8 general election.
Seats 1, 3 and 4 with the Fire Control and Rescue District will be on the ballot, as well as Seats 1, 3, and 5 with the LA-MSID.
All of the seats are non-partisan.
