Local burglars caught on camera

By Staff | Jul 6, 2016

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two men who broke into a Lehigh Acres home during broad daylight earlier this month.

Just after 1:30 p.m. on June 14, two men smashed through the front window of a Nimitz Boulevard home and illegally entered the house.

Once inside, the men used a blanket from one of the spare bedrooms to steal numerous items, including a special edition Star Wars Playstation 4, television set, laptop, microphone stand and even one of home’s security cameras.

After gathering up the stolen items, the men unlocked the front door and left in an unknown direction.

The suspects didn’t notice or take all of the cameras, which caught them red handed with the stolen items inside the house.

They both appear to be between 20-30 years old, wearing light colored or grey T-shirts, jeans and ball caps.

One of the men was about 5 feet 9 inches, 185 pounds, with dark or black hair pulled into a short ponytail.

The second suspect was between 150 and 170 pounds, roughly 5 feet 7 inches, with short dark brown or black hair.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
