Clean water now

By Staff | Jul 27, 2016

To the editor:

Hit pieces usually come from a Super-PAC which represents certain members of an oligarchy. Case in point; Ray Judah, during the 2012 election was the longest running elected official at the time on the Lee County Commission, however, he was annihilated by Big Sugar’s money and the Friends and Family Super-PAC.

Let us look at that result.

Ray Judah was known by every knowledgeable person in Lee County as a defender of our water rights throughout Southwest Florida. He was politically assassinated by Big Sugar affiliated PACS which spent tons of money on slanted TV commercials and disingenuous rack card mailers in a vengeance quest against Mr. Judah. Ray always put clean water for Southwest Florida first when making his Lee County Commission decisions.

How would you like to go to our beaches now? Algae blooms are so prevalent and horrid on the east coast and now the algae has migrated across the state to our beloved Sanibel-Captiva Islands, Cape Coral and Fort Myers Beach. President Obama has already appointed 45 czars to replace elected officials. My recommendation is for Florida’s Congressional delegation to immediately ask President Obama to appoint Ray Judah as Florida’s “Water Czar.”

In my opinion, former Lee County Commissioner, Ray Judah, is the only person who has the empirical knowledge, intellect and temperament to bring the several divergent factions in this issue together. This would include Big Sugar, the tourist industry, farming and agriculture, members of an east coast alliance, of course, southwest Florida and other interested parties. Ray Judah would be a great mediator to solve Florida’s and one of the nation’s most difficult (hard to get your arms around) problems.

Clean water now!

Let’s get to work and make Florida great again!
