To the editor:

As a 54-year resident in Lee County (Lehigh Acres) and having raised three children who went to public schools in Lee County, as well as nieces and a nephew, I highly recommend Jane Kuckel for the District 6 Lee County School Board at-large.

She is the only candidate who is qualified for this seat. Her service record of being on the board for 12 years is a living example of her service to children and teachers. I’ve witnessed the need for a board member who can bring consensus to the board and help direct the school district to being all it can be; someone who will let the teachers teach, someone who will motivate staff and someone who will help to bring parent involvement back to the schools. Because she saw this need she decided to come back from retirement and help to lead.

She is a dedicated task master and is not confrontational, as are some other board members, when they don’t have the facts.

Please vote for Jane Kuckel, District 6, Lee County School Board.
