Free lung cancer screenings available
Radiology Regional Center will hold free, low-dose lung cancer screenings on Aug. 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at 805 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral.
By appointment only, no walk-ins; limited spaces available.
They are available to those who are: under the age of 55, uninsured/insured, current/past smoker, have occupational/environmental concerns, have been subjected to secondhand smoke and asymptomatic. Also available to those: over the age of 55, uninsured/insured and never smoked or quit smoking over 15 years ago.
Participants must provide the name of their physician to receive results and must bring their photo identification. Most insurance covers screenings for smokers and past smokers over the age 55.
