Lehigh Acres Middle provides update for start of school
It is game time at Lehigh Acres Middle School as it continues its journey to become the number one school in the East Zone.
Last year, Lehigh Acres Middle School set sail to become the No. 1 school in the East Zone and has made significant gains in reaching that goal.
“This will be a super exciting year for Lehigh Acres Middle School,” Principal Neketa Watson, who is marking her third year at the school, said.
Lehigh Acres Middle School officially starts the Avid School Demo process.
Sixty teachers from the school attended the Avid Summer Institute in Tampa over the summer and are equally excited to begin the process.
AVID stands for “Advancement via Individual Determination.”
Under Watson’s guidance, the highly recognized academic Cambridge Program has grown and continues to be one of school’s main attractions.
The 6th Grade Academy begins it second year. This school within a school has truly set LAMS apart and has helped it increase the number of families selecting it as their No. 1 choice.
For the first time in school history there is a waiting list of parents who want their child to attend Lehigh Acres Middle School, where academic excellence and rigor is the top priority for students.
“I am proud to be part of a team committed to make our goal happen,” Watson said.
