Lehigh residents, another person accused in bank robbery

Two Lehigh Acres residents and a third man are accused of robbing a bank over the weekend in Fort Myers.

At 12:30 p.m. Aug. 27, the Fort Myers Police Department responded to a Chase Bank, at 5767 Lee Blvd., Fort Myers, in regards to a robbery that had just occurred involving three suspects. According to officials, one of the suspects discharged a weapon during the robbery as they were exiting the bank.

Responding units from the FMPD and Lee County Sheriff’s Office began to search the area for the three suspects and the vehicle that was used in the getaway, officials reported. A LCSO deputy located the suspect vehicle in the area of Leonard Boulevard and Lee Boulevard and attempted a traffic stop.

The vehicle failed to stop and later crashed after one of its tires came off. The three suspects fled from the vehicle, but were later apprehended after a search by law enforcement, according to officials.

Le’Nal Shenard Glover, 18, of 2407 S. Paul Ave., and Ajaria Sharda Simon, 19, of 4924 Gulview Blvd., were each arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm. Thurnal Glover Jr., 20, of 3514 Dora St., Fort Myers, was also arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm, as well as probation violation.

All three were booked into the Lee County Jail, where they still remain today in custody.
