Faith Lutheran Church announces day of service
Faith Lutheran Church will take part in “God’s Work, Our Hands,” a day of service, on Sept. 11 as part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
The church will host giveback community projects from 8 to 10 a.m. throughout Lehigh Acres, including:
– Making and delivering lunch to two fire stations and the Lee County Sheriff’s office East District substation
– Chancel choir and volunteers will visit Brookdale Lehigh Acres to bring music and song to the residents
– Members and Cub Scouts Pack 720 will provide a car wash at the LCSO East District substation, at 1301 N. Homestead Road
– Members and Cub Scouts Pack 720 will host a breakfast for the homeless in the Knights of Columbus parking lot, at 1250 Business Way
Donations will be accepted at the car wash to benefit the LCSO Fallen Officer Fund.
In remembrance of the anniversary of 9/11, the church will adjust its Sunday service to 11 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
