Lee BIA accepting award entries
The Lee Building Industry Association is accepting entries for the 2016 BIA Industry Awards, featuring both the Pinnacle and Summit Awards.
Applicable categories include residential design, commercial projects, advertising and marketing and industry achievement.
Eligible construction, design, marketing or implementation projects must have been created/produced/run/completed between Aug. 1, 2015, and July 31.
Achievement Awards are for an individual’s or a company’s proven achievement in 2015 only.
Entries must be received no later than Oct. 6.
Entry submission for 2016 is exclusively online at: www.LeeIndustryAwards.com.

The Shell Factory & Nature Park will present The Great American Chili Cook Off Sunday, Sept. 18, from 12-6 pm.
Admission is free, the public is asked to bring canned or dry goods for donation.
The Cook Off itself will be sponsored by the SW Florida Chef’s Association with proceeds going to the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
Up to 15 area chefs will be competing for the title of Best Chili Chef. Both the public and chili judges will be voting. There will be great chili, live entertainment, a beer tent and a special Family Fun Park Package.
The Shell Factory, Nature Park and retail store will also be open featuring a brand new state of the art video arcade.
