Reward increased in search for suspect posing as U.S. Marshal

PHOTO SPECIAL TO THE CITIZEN Alleged imposter sought by authorities.
Just over two weeks after a man posed as a U.S. Marshal at three local businesses, the reward for information leading to his real identity has been increased.
The U.S. Marshals Service has added $2,500 to Crime Stoppers’ existing reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the fake agent’s identification and arrest.
On Sept. 13, the man went to three businesses in the Palm Beach Boulevard area presenting himself as if he was a Marshal. During his time at each of the businesses, the man asked a series of unconventional questions which seemed highly suspicious to employees.
The man looked like a Marshal, wearing a bulletproof vest, look-a-like badge and holstered gun. However, after his suspicious actions were reported to law enforcement, it was determined that he was an imposter.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
