To the editor:

Lee County voters have a qualified, experienced and unbiased choice in the November election in the District 5 Lee County commissioner’s race.

Diane Zigrossi is that choice.

Having an accumulated 16 years of previous elected experience, with six of it having been to a similarly elected county office, Diane can hit the ground running to tackle those tough issues that require immediate time and attention.

Throughout her campaign for Lee County commissioner, District 5, she has made it abundantly clear that she would neither solicit nor accept funds from any company or organization that, when elected, would preclude her ability to effectively vote due to any conflict of interest.

Diane will represent the interests of District 5 and every resident of Lee County without reservation or bias.

Having had the opportunity to hear her speak on a number of occasions, a favorite statement of hers is this, “When you come to chambers to do the work of the people, you leave your elephant and donkey in the parking lot … Local issues are not partisan issues, what we vote on today affects you tomorrow.”

Please join me in voting for Diane Zigrossi – responsible leadership that we not only deserve, but have a right to demand.
