Make America great again

By Staff | Nov 16, 2016

To the editor:

In the face of victory our new President Donald Trump has overcome the negativity from the media and most of all the corrupt Clinton camp and campaign.

His challenges will be much greater than past presidents to “Make America Great Again.”

Coming into office with a 19.4 trillion debt that increased more in the past eight years than from all our past 43 presidents, President Trump will face an uphill battle for increased fiscal responsibility.

Staggering cost for illegal immigrants in the United States for the federal government range from $110 billion to $346 billion. Addressing illegal immigration in a humane way that requires exit and application as required by law should be enacted. Removing the “anchor baby” rule established by the Johnson administration in 1965 should be paramount in addressing illegal immigration.

Addressing the fairness of NAFTA enacted by the Clinton administration in 1994 should be a priority in establishing a new job market in America by bringing back jobs to the U.S. for a livable employment for all Americans. Full time working Americans mean a stronger economy and a reduction in the national debt. Labor statistics have been stagnant since August 2015 at 4.9 percent, which many of those included in that number are surviving on part time employment for family survival.

We should look at the “Pay for Play Deals,” as perfected by the Clintons over the years, and remove these corrupt practices from government.

Iran the largest exporter of terrorism should be revisited with new sanctions that insure established peace throughout the Middle East and world. Strict sanctions and increased observance into Iran’s past quest for nuclear armament and their exporting of these armaments should be in place. Failure to comply should have dire consequences. Israel should be our largest partner in insuring that this increased radicalism through terrorism from the Middle East does not continue as the world has experienced over the past eight years.

President Trump does not have a large hill to climb, he has to climb a mountain to “Make America Great Again.”

Our first task should be that of making our nation “One Nation Under God” again.
