Not happy with election results

By Staff | Nov 16, 2016

To the editor:

Elected by the electoral vote only, we now have a new president. My hat goes off to the Republican Party for their silent and lethal behavior through the most deceptive campaign I have ever witnessed. Our new president, Mr. Trump, has no political experience, has lied to the working class about his intentions, made constant degrading remarks against people of color, our government, the poor, crippled, and war vets.

This man was endorsed by the NRA, is a leader of the birther movement, has purportedly paid no taxes, has no regard for women and has been called a sociopath by some because of his heartless behavior and business dealings.

The Republican Party sabotaged Hillary and treated her less than a human being during the email hearings when we all know the former Secretary of State, Mr. Collin Powell, did the same.

The finale of it all came when the government reopened the presumably needless investigation within an unethical time of the election only to clear her again.

Trump used malicious and repeated demagoguery to the disenchanted white middle class running through the back woods to get his way to the White House. Without mentioning Trump’s name, Pope Frances warned of falsehood or “false prophets” that fuel fear and intolerance into politics.

The Trump big bully tyrant behavior has been feared by international governments and President Obama has had to try and apologize for, or calm in explanations that have tried to calm his storm.

A real coup has begun with the far right wing because of their dislike for President Obama’s opposite values and all the GOP stands for.

We will not have a balanced Supreme Court, Citizen United will not be over turned, ALEC and plutocracy will prevail. Do we really need more walls? I am hoping for a taming of the shrew before he gets to the White House.
