Reward increased to $5,500 for arrest in Bonita teen’s murder

By Staff | Nov 16, 2016

Jordan Valero

In hopes of encouraging someone who has information on the murder of Jordan Valero to come forward, the reward for an arrest in his case has once again been increased.

Members of the Bonita Springs Professional Firefighters recently pooled funds to increase the reward by $500, bringing the total reward now to $5,500 – $1,000 from Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, $4,000 from Valero’s family and $500 from the firefighters.

Valero, 19, was gunned down the morning hour of July 10 on Goodwin Street in Bonita.

“Jordan was a young man who touched the hearts of many, and the outpouring of support for his family has been tremendous,” Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers coordinator, said. “We are confident that there are people who have pivotal information that they haven’t shared with us yet.”

“Hopefully, the increased reward will serve as an incentive for them to finally come forward and help bring closure to Jordan’s family and justice for the person who took his life,” she added.

Anyone with information on the murder of Valero is asked to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,500.
