The new Culver’s restaurant, located at 2511 Lee Blvd., is expected to open a few days after Thanksgiving, according to owner Justin Lawler.

“We’re tentatively looking at the 28th of November for opening to the public. If everything goes as scheduled we are planning a grand opening and ribbon cutting put on by the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce on the 29th,”?he said. “If we are not ready on the 28th, it will be within a day or two next week.”

“We know that Lehigh Acres has been looking for more places to eat,” Lawler said. “There has been demands for a Culver’s in Lehigh, so we thought this would be an ideal location for the community – easy to get to with plenty of parking.”

The restaurant is known for its special burgers and frozen custards.

“We have other things, and we want to stress that everything is fresh,”?he said. “We pay close attention to how we handle our foods, and our word is that the food we serve will always be fresh before we prepare it.”

The location has hired 60 employees.

Lawler said they have been trained and are ready to meet customers with a smile.

An estimated 4,500 square feet, the restaurant is large enough to seat about 100 people, he said.

They broke ground on the location in spring and had a fall opening planned all along, Lawler said. The project included tearing down a bank at the site.

Also the owner of the Culver’s at College Parkway and South Cleveland Avenue, he spends time daily at his Fort Myers restaurant. Now, Lawler will split his time between it and Lehigh.

“We think the public will enjoy our food,”?he said. “In addition to our specialty burgers and frozen custards, all our prices for other things on the menu are under $5. We’re a family restaurant, where the kids are welcome.”

Culver’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

“We’re excited about Lehigh, and we see the big demand for such a restaurant as Culver’s,” Lawler said. “We invite everyone to visit us at our opening and attend our celebration and ribbon cutting.”
