Anatomy of hypocrisy

By Staff | Nov 30, 2016

To the editor:

Today my letter is in response to Dick Kalfus’ letter of Nov. 18. His views today are so far beyond his usually hypocritical line, I’ll go ahead and give our readers a direct quote: “But we always hope that losers can ‘suck it up’ be professional, and not harm America by acting like spoiled children.

“Sit in the corner and suck your thumb if you like, but you lost and that’s your signal to stop the nonsense and grow up!”

I’ve got one simple question for Mr. Kalfus and those of like mind. Isn’t that exactly what the entire Republican Congress did after the 2008 elections? Such a short memory you have there.

Did you forget about the meeting McConnell and his hatchet men had during President Obama’s swearing in speech. You know, the meeting where they vowed to block all, and I mean all, of the legislation proposed by the new incoming president? The sad fact of the matter is, by executing this silly little scheme of theirs, nothing of any real consequence got done for the next eight years.

Yes, these bone-headed Republicans who represent you and your party did inflict great damage to all of us due to their pig-headed plan to basically shut down our federal government for eight years.

Don’t believe me?

Please justify their decision to let this nation move forward for almost one year without a Supreme Court.

Think about it folks, for eight long years, this incompetent group of meat heads we send to Washington, D.C., every year to move our great nation forward, didn’t get anything accomplished, unless of course you count a few Post Offices they were able to rename. Or, to use the same analogy, they sat in a corner and sucked their thumbs for eight years. It’s no wonder they earned an approval rating of 9 percent. Oh, and who was in control of Congress during this drought of doing nothing? Why, the Republicans of course.

Now the right side of the aisle has control of the presidency, the Senate and the House. Lord, please have mercy on us all.

To all who voted for Trump, be careful of what you wish for, you might just get your wish. The carnage and scorched earth this egomaniac president-elect will leave us when his reign of terror is over will be devastating.

To those suckers who swallowed his long line of lies and then actually voted for this person, you and you alone will be held responsible. Hopefully you will clean up your own mess this time. Unlike the mess Bush lift us in 2008. Unfortunately, there are over 5,000 sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, friends and family which nobody will be able to bring back from the unnecessary war in Iraq, that Bush lied us into, why? Because they are dead.
