The Chiquita Lock will begin the annual holiday schedule on Saturday, Dec. 24. The lock will be open regular hours on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Christmas Day, the lock will be open from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Call back service will be available after 9 p.m., and boaters should allow 30 minutes for the lock attendant to respond. Chiquita Lock will resume regular operations on Monday, December 26.

For Saturday, Dec.31, the lock will remain open until midnight to accommodate New Year’s celebration traffic. The lock will be open regular operating hours on New Year’s Day on Sunday.

The call back number for the lock is 542-5661. During the regular operating schedule, the City will provide a 30-minute call back response after 10 p.m. In case of emergency, boaters can contact the Cape Police non-emergency number at 574-3223 for lock assistance.
