Open House Week set

Florida SouthWestern State College will host its spring Open House Week from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on the following dates:

– Feb. 27: Charlotte Campus, at 26300 Airport Road, Punta Gorda

– Feb. 28: Hendry/Glades Center, at 1092 East Cowboy Way, LaBelle

– March 1: Collier Campus, at 7505 Grand Lely Drive, Naples

– March 2: Thomas Edison Campus, at 8099 College Parkway, Fort Myers

Lehigh Cavaliers Domino Club to offer $1,000 scholarships

The Lehigh Cavaliers Domino Club will offer $1,000 scholarships to Lehigh Acres students through the Louise Moore Scholarship Program.

To qualify, students must have at least a 3.0 GPA, have been accepted to an accredited college, university or vocational school, and be a resident of Lehigh.

Deadline for applications is April 14.

General Woman’s Club giving $750 scholarships

The General Woman’s Club of Lehigh Acres will award five scholarships – worth $750 each – to single parents with minor children living at home.

The applicant must be currently enrolled in continuing education classes at an accredited college, university or technical school and be a resident of Lehigh Acres.

There is no pre-printed application form; apply via the following guidelines:

– Send proof of Lehigh residency, such as a copy of a utility bill or rent receipt.

– Supply street address and contact telephone number; P.O Boxes accepted.

– Name of college, university or technical school currently enrolled at.

– Brief biography, with area of study.

Lehigh Acres Chapter of ABWA to provide $1,000 scholarship

The Lehigh Acres Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will provide one $1,000 scholarship through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund.

It is open to female students who will attend an accredited U.S. college, university or community/vocational school.

Applicants must be a United States citizen; a resident of Lehigh Acres; Alva or Buckingham; and be at least a college freshman in August, with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
