Lee County Sheriff’s Office honors students at awards ceremony
Humanitarian concern, honesty, integrity, positive decision making and heroism were recognized on Feb. 23 during the Lee County Sheriff’s Office’s “Do The Right Thing” awards ceremony.
Each month throughout the school year, the LCSO will honor the positive actions of the community’s students through the student recognition program. The goal is to reinforce positive behavior among youths and to establish students as role models for their peers.
The local students honored included:
– Alexandra Berglette, of Lehigh Acres, is a fourth-grader at Sunshine Elementary School
– Russell Brown, of Lehigh Acres, is an 11-grader at Lehigh Senior High School
– Ben Chery, of Lehigh Acres, is an 10-grader at Gateway Charter High School
– Willow Davidson, of Lehigh Acres, is a fourth-grades at Mirror Lakes Elementary School
– Te’Asia Mack, of Lehigh Acres, is a first-grader at Bayshore Elementary School
– Valerie Rayhart, of Lehigh Acres, is a seventh-grader at Oak Hammock Middle School
– Stanley Rendziniak, of Lehigh Acres, is a third-grader at Tortuga Preserve Elementary School
– Fatima Rodriguez-Ovalle of Lehigh Acres is a fifth grade student at Sunshine Elementary School
– Nyadja Thomas, of Lehigh Acres, is a third-grader at Tortuga Preserve Elementary School
– Briseida Salazar Velasco, of Lehigh Acres, is a fourth-grader at Lehigh Elementary School
– Zachary Wells, of Lehigh Acres, is a second-grader at Lehigh Elementary School
