Reward money increased in murder of Lehigh man

By Staff | Apr 5, 2017

Family members of Jontavious Thomas have continued to raise more reward money for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for his murder.

Recently, another $4,000 was added to the reward fund this morning, bringing the new total of reward money up to $30,000.

“Jontavious’ family is stricken with grief, which is compounded by the fact that people who have information that could lead to his killer’s arrest have been hesitant to come forward,” Trish Routte, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers coordinator, said last week.

“Although we would hope that someone in the know would share their knowledge simply because it’s the right thing to do, hopefully the incentive of an increased reward will motivate them to ensure that justice is served,” she said. “Our community as a whole will be a safer place once Jontavious’ killer is behind bars.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers and $25,000 from other donors.
