March permit report
During March, contractors pulled 112 permits to build single-family houses collectively valued at about $27.7 million in unincorporated Lee County.
That compares to 118 permits issued in February 2017 and 100 issued in March 2016, according to the Lee County Department of Community Development.
Also during March, 48 multi-family units valued at about $3.8 million were permitted, compared to 18 units in February 2017 and 6 units in March 2016.
General commercial activity was valued at about $4.2 million for 30 permits, compared to about $5.2 million in February 2017 and about $8.1 million in March 2016.
Lee County Community Development issued 4,599 permits of all kinds in March.
Community Development oversees planning, zoning, development and building services, environmental review, building inspection, and code enforcement for the unincorporated areas of Lee County.
