A Lehigh Acres man is accused of murder in the fatal shooting of his son.

Jonathan Armin Brunelle, 41, of 4651 28th St. S.W., was arrested and charged today with one count of homicide murder dangerous depraved without premeditation, according to the jail booking records.

He remains in custody at the Lee County Jail on no bond.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to a shooting at 8:19 p.m. June 19 at 4651 28th St. S.W. An investigation revealed that Brunelle had intentionally shot his son, Shane Kelly Brunelle, 20.

Shane Brunelle succumbed to the injury that occurred during the isolated domestic incident.

Brunelle was taken into custody and transported to the jail for booking.

He has a court appearance scheduled for July 24.
