The board meeting planned next week for the local fire district has been canceled.

The Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District announced today that the Board of Fire Commissioners meeting set for June 27 at 5 p.m. at Station 104 will not be held.

“There were a couple of commissioners that could not make it to the meeting,” Janis Williams, with the first district, said.

The next board meeting will take place on July 25 at 5 p.m. at Station 104, at 3102 16th St. S.W.

The monthly meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.
